Spine began in April 2026 because we couldn't find book merch that felt like us.

We wanted to create embroidered book merch that combines clean, minimalist designs with a colourful palette. Pieces you'll genuinely want to wear in everyday life.

But Spine is about more than clothes and accessories.

We hope every piece becomes a conversation starter, a way for readers to recognise one another and a reminder that you're part of a community. Whether someone notices your T-shirt in a café, your cap on the train or your tote bag in a bookstore, those small moments have a way of bringing readers together.

Reading is something we often do alone, but it's always been about connection. If Spine can help more readers find each other, celebrate their love of books and inspire even one more person to pick up a book, then we've done what we set out to do.

Every design is embroidered and made to order, meaning each piece is only created when it's needed. It's a slower approach that helps reduce unnecessary waste.
